RAWALPINDI: The Leh Expressway project proposal has been submitted to the public-private partnership (PPP) Board for approval in the 57th meeting of the governing body of Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA).

While briefing the meeting chaired by Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Syed Gulzar Hussain Shah and RDA Chairman Tariq Mehmood Murtaza on the project, Nespak informed that the width of the Leh Expressway had been reduced to 25-35 meters, from 35-50 meters due to which the land area has now been reduced.

The project will be tendered after the approval of the PPP Board. Chairman RDA Tariq Mehmood Murtaza directed the authorities to complete the work on the projects as soon as possible.

The meeting was also briefed on the Flood Channel project, Restoration of Ecosystem through Potohari Flora (Ten Billion Tree Tsunami) – conservation and restoration of Ecosystem through Potohari flora agenda and Green Regulations Intensification – for which the governing body approved the draft.
