LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab, Sardar Usman Buzdar, approved a development package worth Rs. 9.48 billion for Bhakkar. He has inaugurated 76 uplift projects worth Rs. 1.22 billion and has laid foundation for 26 development projects at a cost of Rs. 1.12 billion.
As per details, Mr Buzdar has inaugurated reconstruction work of 48-kilometre roads under RAP Phase-I at DC office Bhakkar under Naya Pakistan Manzalain Asaan Project. The cost of the project is Rs. 50.76 crore.
Development of 20 roads and drainage schemes was initiated under Community Development Program (CDP) Phase-I. 24 development schemes worth Rs. 40 crore have been completed under CDP phase-I.
The Chief Minister also initiated the construction of 10 roads and 17 water drainage projects at a cost of Rs. 22 crores under CDP phase-II. Under CDP phase-II, further 26 projects were started worth Rs. 1.12 billion.
As per details, the chief minister inaugurated 63-kilometres 5 road projects and laid the foundation stone for Thal University at a cost of Rs. 66 crore under Rural Accessibility Programme RAP phase-II.
